I have loved gemstones since I was little, always believing they hold a special kind of energy. Some stones remain ordinary, but others become true gemstones. Why is that?

My curiosity let me to study at Gemological Institute of America (GIA) from 2017 to 2018, where I earned my Graduate Gemologist (G.G.) and Jewelry Design certificates.

After returning to China, I set out with the hope of doing something great in the world of gems.

Building My Foundation in Gemstones

Marriage and Growing Our Family

During my studies at GIA in the US, I met my husband who was in China at the time.

We got married in 2019, but by the end of that year, the COVID-19 pandemic changed everything. We spent at least four months confined at home, unable to leave our community.

Then came two years of back-and-forth outdoor permissions. In 2021, we welcomed our son, a true blessing during those challenging times.

As life shifted, we gradually closed our other businesses and decided to fully focus on our passion for gemstones.

Initially, we chose to pursue the diamond business, focusing on both education and sales. However, progress was slow. The diamond industry demands significant time, effort and money, making it a challenging field to enter, even with extensive knowledge. At the same time, our son was still very young, which added to our challenges.

By chance, while feeling uncertain about the future, I discovered a livestream selling jadeite.

Jadeite holds a special place in Asian culture and is cherished by many. Its toughness and hardness allow it to be carved into countless shapes holding different themes, while its variety of colors and transparencies make each piece uniquely beautiful and meaningful.

Discovering Real Jadeite After Deception

Using my professional knowledge, I was drawn to jadeite’s low prices and impressive quality. I bought piece after piece, trusting my eyes to judge whether they were natural jadeite—sometimes even skipping the light-testing techniques I learned in class. I was too confident!

It turned out I was totally wrong and I discovered this fact late one night: almost all the jadeite I had purchased were type C—chemically treated pieces, considered fake in China.

This experience pushed me to spend several months researching the true sources of jadeite, and I decided to shift our career focus to the jadeite market.

I kept buying more, but this time to test and train my eyes, determined to become a true professional. After about a year of practice, I finally felt ready.

We registered our company and started our online business in China in February 2024.

Our store was small—just my husband and me.

At first, there were no customers at all. Following what I learned at GIA, we reached out to our relatives and friends, and even asked some to support us by making a purchase. Yes, our first order came from family!

Gradually, reviews and recommendations began to appear on our platform. We encountered all sorts of experiences and met many different people, and there were times with no orders at all. But our persistence paid off, and we kept moving forward.

Today, we have served thousands of customers and dozens of peers in the jadeite industry.
